“ Food and service were excellent. There were so many staff attentive to my needs! Chips and dips were so good but the mango Chamoy margaritas was phenomenal! Definitely get that! ”

Our server did not speak English and my Spanish is less than rudimentary, so we did have a few bumps getting our order placed but a bilingual co-worker helped out and all was well. “ I love Mexican food. And being so close to the Mexican border, I was excited to try Palenque Grill. On a Friday night I was expecting to wait a long time but our table for four was ready immediately. There was live music and a full bar with televisions playing sports games. The men's restroom was very clean. Ordering was a tad difficult, due to language barriers. Fortunately for us, we had a Spanish speaker in our party. I ordered the crispy chicken tacos and a strawberry mojito after we received our guacamole. From past experiences I knew to ask if the complimentary beans that came with the chips contained Pork. They did. The server offered a white bean alternative. My crispy chicken tacos were very good. I'd definitely order those again. My strawberry mojito was perfect. Overall, this place didn't exceed my expectations. However, I wasn't disappointed either. Very good food at a very good value. Our bill with drinks and food was less than $125. There was four of us.
